Your work has a history.
Download the latest published build and start keeping useful saved versions.
A published build is on its way
No supported Windows release with a ZIP and SHA-256 checksum is available yet. Check back here for the first published build.
Before you start
- A Windows computer.
- Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime. Choose the runtime matching the published build.
- A working folder and a separate history folder.
- An internet connection for initial sign-in and email verification. Local capture and restore work offline after setup.
The ZIP is a framework-dependent application. The Desktop Runtime is required; the SDK and ASP.NET runtime are not substitutes.
Install in a few steps
- Download and verify the ZIP.
Compare its SHA-256 hash with the published checksum below.
- Extract the entire archive.
Keep all extracted files together. Choose a folder where you have write access.
- Run Checkpoint.exe.
Sign in or create and verify an account, then add your working folder and a separate history folder.
Verify the SHA-256 checksum
In PowerShell, open the folder containing the downloaded ZIP and run:
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 -LiteralPath ".\Checkpoint-X.Y.Z-windows.zip"Compare the Hash value with the published SHA-256 checksum. They must match exactly before you extract and run the application.
The filename above is an example. Use the exact name of the published ZIP when it becomes available.
